Sycamore Student Cultural Series (SSCS)

The Sycamore Student Cultural Series was set up with MWC Town Hall Lectures Series funds in conjunction with the Sycamore Community Schools. It provides two cultural programs each year to all students in grades K-8.

In 2022-2023, students at the Edwin H. Greene School (grades 5 and 6) opted to paint a mural
in their halls. A local artist, Cedric Cox was chosen to design something that the students
could paint. Mr. Cox spent a week at the school teaching the students about painting,
how to clean up the edges and how to make the colors pop, etc.
